This article is for Enterprise Exchange 2010 accounts only.
Mailboxes on the account can be located in two datacentres. One is the East coast datacentre (East Site), the other one is the West coast datacentre (West Site). For each location different settings should be used when configuring mail clients or other applications. To find the mailbox location, hit mailbox Display Name on the Services > MS Exchange Server 2010 > Mailboxes page. Check Organizational Unit property of the mailbox:
- If Organizational Unit is set to None, navigate to the Get Started page in HostPilot and hit Advanced Settings link. Your Defailt Exchange server is listed there.
- If Organizational Unit is chosen and the mailbox was initialy created in this Organizational Unit, navigate to Services > MS Exchange Server 2010 > Organizational Units page, find the OU in question and check the Default Location next to the OU. It will indicate the location of the Exchange mailbox created in this OU.
Important Note: If the mailbox was assigned to the OU after it was created, the mailbox is not moved to the location specified for the OU. The mailbox will stay in the location where it was created originally.
After the mailbox location is determined, navigate to the Get Started page in HostPilot and hit Advanced Settings link. Use the settings listed for the appropriate Site. |
