Both types of licenses are used with the same PC Backup client, however server licenses have several advantages:
- Support of server operating systems (both Microsoft Windows and Mac)
- Support of network shares and NAS data storage systems
- Backup and restore SQL and VMware
- VSS writer backup and restore to SYSVOL and Active Directory
Note: Desktop license cannot be used for Server OS while Server license can be used for both Desktop and Server types of OS. |
